Having driven 8.6 klm from Patras, we enter New National Road of Patras – Pyrgos. At 9.1 km we meet a road informing us that on our right hand we head towards the Department of Mintilogli...
 
We keep on straight and we enter New National Highway. It is a good road, but you should always be careful. On our right, we see Vrahneika Beach coastal zone.
There are some beautiful villages, ‘drowned’ in green. At 16 klm on our left hand there is an exit joint to Old National Highway and to Industrial Zone of Patras. We go on straight. At 19 km we enter Municipality of Dimi and at 19.7 km we reach Alissos Village. 300 metres after, there is another exit joint from New National Highway, leading to Municipality of Olenia and Lousika, as well as Santameri, Portes and Ano Alissos.
On our left, the road leads to Eleohori, Agiovlasitika, Fostena and Ano Achaia village. We keep on straight and at 24.4 km we meet a new crossroad. On our left hand, the road leads to Kapeli and Petrohori, whereas the road leads again to Kato Achaia. At 27.4 km of New National Road of Patras- Pyrgos, we enter Municipality of Movri and straight after we meet Gomosto village. At 28.4 klm, a small road on our right leads to Niforeika.
 

We keep on straight and at 29.9 km we see a new joint. The road on our left leads to Kareika, Riolo, Fragka, Spaneika, Tsakonika, Petta and to Agios Nikolaos of Spata Monastery. The road leading to Monastery is very good. The same road leads to Filokali Monastery. You should ask for directions as for how you will reach Riolo. At 31 km we meet on our right the road leading to Rahi and Apostoli while at 32.5 km we enter Sageika, Municipality of Movri’s seat. At 35.5 km, the road on our right leads to Araxos and its airport, to Metohi and to Kalogria Beach. At 36.5 km we enter Municipality of Larissos borders and at 37 km there is a new crossroad.

 

The road on our left ends up in Riolo and on our right to Lappa. The road on our left leads to archaeological site. After 500 m we meet a new crossroad. The road on our right leads to Lappa, while the road on our left goes to Apideona and Kagkadi. Keeping straight, at 38.3 km we meet another crossroad leading to Araxos, Metohi and Kalogria. At 40.5 we enter Neo Vouprasio and at 42 klm the road on our right goes to Manolada and Kounoupeli, villages of Ilia’s Region. After 800 m, we abandon Achaia and we enter Region of Ilia. Across the route, you will need several gas stations and cafes passing by small villages. The region is really green and you will enjoy seeing all these cultivated areas.
