Whether amateur or a gliding expert, the skies of Achaia are offered for gliders. If you are interested in an acquaintance with the county from a high altitude, you have plenty of paraglide positions to choose. Paragliding Club of Patras was founded in 1990 and today has over 100 members. It is a member of the Greek Air Sports Federation and is overviewed by the General Secretariat of Sports (tel. 2610 621 494). In collaboration with the Club, we have identified the following gliding sites.

The mountainous area of Kalavrita with its magnificent forests of Tritaia region (between the villages of Alepoxori and Kalentzi), Ladonas River and the homonymous lake, Mount Movri at western Achaia, are only a few of offered routes for wonderful walks through nature.

This canyon is associated with the myth of Hercules who uses his sword to cut the rock into two and reach Evristheas or, according to another version, his beloved Voura, daughter of Eliki. Vouraikos was named after Voura. Ancient Greeks called it Erassinos.

The cave is a rare creation of Nature. Apart from its labyrinth of corridors, its mysterious galleries and its strange stalactite formations, the "Cave of the Lakes" has something exclusively unique that does not exist in other well known caves. Inside the cave there is a string of cascading lakes forming three different levels that establish its uniqueness in the world.
