Picturesque resort with beautiful beaches and houses surrounded by gardens and citrus orchards. From here starts the famous track train to Kalavryta, which runs through the Vouraikos Canyom. The narrowest point is located a few kilometers from the village Zachlorou called "Portes". It lies 54 km from Patras ."
Worth seeing
- The historic old train which is in the Kalavryta rail station.It's the train that operated in charcoal and has been providing the service Diakofto-Kalavrita since 1896.
- The canyon of the river Bouraikou, one of the most beautiful landscapes of the Peloponnese.
- The ancient Kyrenia, on the right bank of the river Kerinitis.
- The ancient Eliki (about 6.5 km W), which since its inception in Mycenaean times until the destruction of the 373 AD by a powerful earthquake, was the capital city of the whole of Achaia. The most important monument of the ancient city is the Hellenistic monument and preserved as parts of walls.
- The Zachloritika, Elaionas and Rodia villages, on the road to Aigio.

- Swimming at the beach of Diakopto, Elaionas, Rodia ,Engali and Trapeza.
- The route length of 22 km with the track train, which lasts about an hour-and crosses the canyon of the river Vouraikou, resulting in Kalavryta.
- Hiking, climbing the canyon Vouraikos from Diakopto to Kalavrita along rail lines.
- As the Zachlorou the journey takes about five hours while a Kalavrita takes about four hours yet.
