eglezika.jpgOutside of Patras, west of Ities point and at the height of the Old National Road in municipality if Paralia, the mansions of the British (known as Egglezika) are suited. They were built based on neoclassical and foreign architecture styles.

They are remnants of the flourishing British community of Patras of the 19th century. Great courtyards and majestic buildings seem to have come from pevious eras. Also the foundations of the wooden docks - platforms are also found there, which were used for boarding-disembarking from the sea taxis, which made the voyage Beach - Patras. Paralia municipality intends to rebuild the docks and to revive maritime tours with small crafts.
