Roditis
Roditis is a wine variety widely spread in Greece. Roditis vine is cultivated in 32 provinces (of 52 in total) but it is primarily found in the Achaia prefecture. This is purely a wine grape variety, but it is also edible since it is quite tasty and crispy, especially the red version.
The variety is mainly reddish but in total there are five clones with colours ranging from light green up to red. The most important of these clones, is the Rosé known as “alepou”. The harvest begins in late September and continues until mid-October.
