The visitor may experience even donkey races if he is present at the events held at the point "Koritsia" of the municipal district of Mitopolis, Olenia where food boiling in large pots on the ground is given away freely. The event is in honor of St. John between 20 and 25 June.

Soudenaiika also holds the festival dedicated to the raisins in early September.

At Olenia an old custom is revived every year on the day of Lazarus. Men wrapped in sheets go from house to house and sing carols causing a relative fuss.
During mid-August, a two day festival is held with cultural performances and karagiozis plays for children.
